Healthy Boundaries

A practical, Scripture-aware guide to healthy boundaries for households and caregivers.

Ephesians 4:2–312 minutes
01

Why this matters

Strengthen connection through attentive listening, honest repair, prayer, shared responsibility, and appropriate professional support when needed.

02

Biblical foundation

Read Ephesians 4:2–3 slowly. Notice what it reveals about God, human dignity, and a faithful response.

03

Practice it

Set aside twenty uninterrupted minutes. Each person names one concern and one hope while the other reflects back before responding.

04

What to watch for

If there is coercion, abuse, or danger, joint exercises are not appropriate; prioritize safety and qualified local support.

05

A focused first step

Healthy Boundaries: Define one observable sign of progress, practice it in the setting where it is needed, and review the result with everyone affected. Write the first step on a card and place it beside the place where the action begins. At the next family check-in, keep what helped and replace one step that created unnecessary pressure.

06

Reflect together

What would help the other person feel heard, respected, and safe this week?
